I've finished building my HTPC and attempting to Install MCE2005. I've jumped over a few hurdles mainly the "Please insert Service Pack 2" when it really means please insert disc 1 back in

I've installed all BIOS updates, latest drivers for my Gigabyte 6600 Graphics card and the Asus A8Li Deluxe motherboard and installed PowerDVD 6 for decoding.

The only thing that is giving me grief is the PVR150.
I've got the latest drivers from the Hauppauge website, and windows picks the card up ok but sometimes after turning on there is a ! next to it in device manager and i have to uninstall it and let windows reinstall the drivers again.

Once installed ok and going to TV all i get is a black screen and for a while the Whats on dialogue box and then it says "loss of signal" the signal is fine. What have i forgotten to do? I have the card in the first PCI slot on my board.
    Thanks for any help

Are you using the MCE drivers ?
In device manager try disabling and the enabling the card see if that resolved the issue.

It was a defective card after all the driver swapping and messing about.
