So I'm gonna' need to make the change to MCE 2005 to stream media to the new 360 - According to current reports anyway.

Anyone any experience of this OS? I am quite happy with XP Pro SP2 and its game support. Anyone got a view?

I thought you could use Win XP and Windows Media connect?

MCE is just an addon that gets installed with windows and is run on startup by default.

You can run windows normally without it running. But theres hardly any point getting excited about this all because the Xbox360 will only stream wmv files.

Yeah, I really need something to play these 960x528 DD5.1 divx files and looks like the 360 isn't going to do that (until someone works out how to chip it anyway). Looks like either a Pinnacle showcenter (or similar) or a modded xbox with XBMC.

I'm running the new series of Lost with these HiDef (lite) XviDs through my softmodded XBox & XBMC - they look really nice....buy an Xbox for about £50 from eBay, borrow the forum kit and get going!
