    Hey... a buddy ordered me a 35ELK remote as a thankyou for helping him out.... When it arrived the part says 35ELKU but its very clearly a 35ELK-style connector (ie: fits in my HD1). On top of that the remote is clearly incompatible, because after a few key-presses the buttons mess up when used with the HD1.

    Anyone have a clue which player is this remote even meant for?

    (reference, E10 <-> MC35ELKU connector: http://www.minidisc.org/images/sony_mze10_pf05.jpg )

    Cheers

    possibly... though I thought the 'U' model was released specifically for the 'next gen' "10th anniversary model MZ-E10".... (source: http://www.audiocubes.com/product/Sony_RM-MC35ELKU_MiniDisc_remote.html)

    that and the non-U model works with a heap of the older stuff (compared to what the U model is supposed to be compatible with - the E10 only due to its slim-plug).

    /me shrugs
