Anyone got both of these, and if so how do they play? Is it easy to get games online and are there any problems at all with lag etc?

If anyone could give me a refined opinion on either/both, as the chances are that I'll only be able to afford one of them... being poor and all... :(

Rent both & form you own opinon :rotfl:

From what i hear MM3 is better but MC2 is good as well, you might be better to rent both see which you think is better?

I'll be getting MM3 as most on the people i play online with have it or are getting it.

    Sorry i can't be more help :)

    PS check your PM

    PM checked and replied mate!

And MM3 was my preference to begin with, but at www.gamerankings.com MC2 seems to be getting the higher overall scores, not sure whether thats for the non live section of the game or what though!

I have MC2, and tis fairly enjoyable. You are forced to substantially play it offlins so tht u can get cars that are worth racing with online. I bought it home slapped it in the disc tray and went on XBL. I had one car available and the other racers literally shot away from me, it is not possible to win until u get good cars as everyone on live seems to have good ones!
The trickiest part of the game IMO is the menu, took me ages to find my friends list but once u get the hang of it its suprisingly well executed, not to GP2s standard but accepctable definitely. I am gonna see how MM3 fairs on the forum and in reviews and then maybe swap MC2 for it. WOuld reccomend MC2 though if u r willing to get into it.

    Midnight Club 2.

I like a game that makes you play it offline a bit as well as online. I enjoyed playing through the campaign on Ghost recon to unlock the first multiplayer map but never went and unlocked the next two, although I unlocked everything else.

Just one thing Geoggy or spike?
When playing MM3 online is there any traffic on the roads?
I don't think there is on MC2 but can't remember if there is any on this.

I've only fired up the game on Live but not actually played anyone yet as I'm still trying to find my way around - the two maps are massive. I didn't see any other traffic but was going so fast in my Viper :) that I probably wouldn't have noticed ;)

The UI in MM3 is very well designed, probably the best of all the games for Live that have been released recently.

MM33 has game modes for serious racing or just all out fun if you wish, game of tag the car anyone? :D

I've found out there is no traffic online, shame would have been sick having to dodge traffic as well as you guys.

Going fast in your Viper mate? How realistic is it, cause I know that Fast+Viper+Corners=*CRASH*, what's the handling like... arcadey or Grand Tourismo?

    How realistic is it?
How would he know he's never driven a viper :rotfl:

It would be nice if the cars ect: did handle like GT or PGR.
But i bet it's arcadey which is fine with me.

So are you going for MM3 then maff?

MM3 is most likely I think, just not sure when I'll go pick it up, am expecting 40 quids worth of HMV vouchers any day now, may get it when they arrive!

Unless of course, someone persuades me to get MC2...

Of course I meant MM3 not MM33 which is a few sequels down the line :)

There are some stats for each car and the Viper does indeed show quite bad handling. I tried this against some of the others with much better handling/cornering but liked the way it slips around the corners.
Of course accleration , whilst not the best there, is quick :D
Just the way I drive I guess :clown:
Besides, collision=damage also plays a big part in this game.

You could always choose the Bus Maff, that corners pretty well? ;)

Just realised, HMV might not have broken the release date along with everyone else, I'll just have to pop along and see... and maybe persuade... :D

Been into town and Lo and behold HMV don't have MM3 for sale yet, neither does anywhere else... Game, Dixons, Currys, Comet, Gamestation, Eplay....

Looks like Bath is the only City to stick to release dates then, I'll just have to wait until Friday...

What are they playing at? Just trying to rub our noses into it...

And until friday our good friends here will let us know how good it is whilst we wait until release date!

I almost got MC2 today instead but then saw a demo of MM3 running and decided that it's worth waiting for.
