I have a Panasonic Laptop which is a few years old now, and came with it's then maximum ram of 192 (iirc), but I was wondering if the limit is a true one, or whether you can go higher? What are the ramifications of going above the limit?

    Thanks,

    Dean.

go to www.crucial.com , and type in your model there and they should tell you what's the max amount of ram you can put in there...

Thanks, I couldn't find my pc on there, but I'm pretty sure it was at it's max. I was more curious as to why there is a max, and what are the implications of going over that?
