Hi, Prob a rubbish question but i am not very technical. I Got a plasma screen which i want to wall mount. There are 2 Scart connections on it. I already have sky digital, but now the scart from Sky box to TV is too short. What us the maximum length scart cable to use. would 5m be bad quality? i have heard that Gold plated oxygen free cables are fine. Can anyone advise me please. The cable is going to go up into the ceiling and back down behind wall so 5m is prob only size i can get. Thanks
Hi - i have used and can supply scart leads of upto (possibly more) than 10m Multiple screening and gold flashed - have used them myself (Use a smaller version now) works brilliantly and no noticable loss at all... (Use a smaller version of the same lead now and a comp lead for the dvd from the same brand)
http://www.tvcables.co.uk/cgi-bin/tvcables/131-500.html would be ideal for 5m run (scarts come in upto 20m standard lengths) upto 10-12m is fine normally but keep as short as possible, 5m for Sky with a decent cable is fine!
