Sorry, the furniture I refer to is the sofa, looks exactly the same as that on Nabru.co.uk, but could be wrong..

    Hi there,

It does look very similar, but I do notice some things difference, especially the feet on the sofa. Also the fitting seems like "tight" or something.

I will have to check the name on the sofa when I get home, but I was told it was made in Italy and I remember a different make to that, but then again anything can be re-badged.

    Very similar though

    Thanks Lads,

Sorry Andyhofer, I haven't had a chance to check the make on the sofa, we do it over the weekend and post it up.

I have our retired carpenter working at the house at the moment and unfortunately the mess is currently in a mess - but not in my cinema room yet as the wife nabbed him to finished an area for her clothes......the wait continues to finish off the unit surrounds and skirting.

Would have to agree with you on this one max, guys in there are a bit strange (but do know their stuff), seem to like you better when your buying stuff they want you to buy like MA speakers (like hazza) and yamaha amps. Ask them about Mission speakers and Marantz amps and they dont seem too interested.

So are you using the 2nd pair of floorstanders as rears ? how come you didnt go for mission dipoles (or bipoles, can never remember)

    excellent setup btw...

    Hi There,

Yeah, agree on the fact that they would have been all over me if I was buying more monitor audio than I did and they were very interested in talking about Yamaha.

Yes, Im using the 2nd pair as rears, and so far Im very, very impressed with them. The way my room is laid out, the bipoles wouldn't have worked for me and would have been very arkward to position, and with the size of the room being quite large, the floorstanders fit in very well.

    Thanks for the nice comment

Cheers, thanks for that. Think you need to have another look around the forums for other set ups, some really are simply breathtaking. But thanks for the comments anyway.

Hope the inspiration inspires you to take the plunge with the projector. For me, its without doubt the best purchase Ive ever made.

If you do get the PJ, make sure you make your own thread on here. Best of luck!!

    Thanks.

The name on the sofa is Italsofa and it was bought through Reid Furniture in Ireland (although I believe Reid are a Scottish company)

The sofa was extended and made specifically for us.

If you need any more info, just let me know.

Over the past week, I have finally finished off the section surrounds and the skirting boards are on. I will hopefully get a chance to post new pics this evening, allthough the room does need another coat of paint and I might wait till I get that done this week.

Im not sure when I will have the new AV cabinet under the screen wall area as the father in law did alot over the past few weeks and I don't like pushing him into doing it for me. Think I will just sneakily hand him the design and ask him to do it eventually.....LOL

Will be back with new updated pics.

Okay painting still not done (you wouldn't believe the excuses)
But you can the skirting and surround for the units are now done:

I think the units are really cleaned up with the surrounds added and im delighted with the finished units now.
You can see the additions of the Godfather and Rocky picture frames....bit naughty putting them up before the painting is done properly.

yes, a crap effort of trying a panoramic shot, but it may give a better idea of the length of the room and the units in their place.

Now, a very temporary solution to getting the centre speaker off the floor. Still have to get new unit made:

Sorry for crap pics, will have to do better when the painting is finished.

That is one top notch loft conversion!

Looks nice and cosy, and as others have commented, them sofas look VERY comfortable! Who needs a bed when you have that! ;)

You must have to fill them sweet jars up every night. I know i'd be munching on them one by one, ending up with loads of empty jars!:rolleyes:

Thanks for the kind words lads - much appreciated!

Well, the sweet jars have been a bone of contention with myself and the wife:rolleyes:. Mainly because I have a 2 year old who wants them everytime she is in the room (well thats what the wife says), but Im the one who keeps munching them. Also, she thought they looked and that there was too many, my point of it being an unusual room anyway didn't win her over. (she did allow the cinema pictures and she did allow the room itself, so I can't complain too much!)

We have reached a compromise though, in that we removed 3 of the jars and have put some glasses for drinks there instead . Although she keeps removing one more and spacing out the glasses and I then put it back again (this happens at least once a week:rotfl:)

On another point, with Ikea opening in Belfast and its the first in Ireland - so it means I have some choice on a new unit and instead of getting one made I was thinking of going for something similar to the one below. Thinking of buying the 2 or 3 units and putting them together

[email protected] Anyone want to point me to the thread this came from, Ive tried searching most of the morning and can't seem to find it???
