Following games to movie path, and following similar 'Hitman' movie, Pax Payne is next in line to try, directed by John Moore (The Omen, Flight of the Phoenix and Behind Enemy Lines)

Mila Kunis as assassin Mona Sax - Maxim named her #47 on its 2006 Hot 100 list, also appeared in Forgetting Sarah Marshall as Rachel Jansen.

Also stars Ludacris, Donal Logue and Beau Bridges, Chris O’Donnell

Payne is a DEA agent whose family was slain as part of a conspiracy. In order to avenge their deaths, he must come together with a deadly assassin (Mila Kunis) who is also out to avenge the death of a family member, her sister. Chris O’Donnell will play an executive for one of the big corporations that are allegedly involved in the conspiracy.

This could actually be quite good you know. Wahlberg knows how to do action films and from the pics he got the right look. will reserve judgment for the trailer though

Mark Wahlberg is one of the most under rated actors around, I can honestly not think of a bad film he's been in, though I wasn't taken aback too much by three kings. Max Payne should be boss :smashin:

Im sure he knows he's not a great actor, but he gets better more i see him, and has a good screen presence. I think he'll be good in M. Night Shyamalan's 'The Happening' :)

His brother Donnie is pretty good to in 'The Kill Point' tv series. Not done too bad from boy band to film. :smashin:

I thought he was great in The Shooter (which I want on BD, but am not spending £25+ for!!), and was dubious until I saw him in one of the photo's- looks like he could pull this off, so long as the script is right. I played the original PC game, and loved it's style and atmosphere. Hope they get those right for the film.

I thought it was just me who really likes Marky Marks movies. The Shooter is definitely my favourite so far where he is the lead.

This could be really good - i wonder if they will have some bullet time style in it

Max Payne had all of the Matrix elements in place before the Matrix film was made, including bullet time. Ok so it was going to be compared with the Matrix, so they made some homages to it later on.

:(

Guys the early reviewers who have seen The Happening, are saying its M Nights worse film maybe and the worst performance by Marky Mark. Personally i think they over exaggerated :thumbsdow. 'Aicn' are saying when they looked at the extended clip below, "they believe he is really bad and between this and MAX PAYNE, 2008 doesn't look to be a particularly good year for Wahlberg". No one has seen May Payne yet, but they already feel negative towards him in it

I am not surprised. He did a wonderful film with Sixth Sense and all his other films are downhill after that. However, the trailer does make it look good but as we know, lots of bad films get good trailers.

I am undecided about this Max Payne. I have never been that impressed with Wahlberg. The departed is the last film I saw him in which is his best role from what I have seen of him.

trailer looks great, though i'm a bit confused by the 'angel' at the end, i don't remember there being anything supernatural in the games, although i didn't ever finish the sequel..
