You can add me to the list aswell. I'm part of the Old Gits Club, we have our own section on this forum although it's hidden in the ps3 clan section. Most of the guys have ps3 but a few also have a 360. It's basically old guy who are rubbish at games and mainly play for fun (mostly whilst drunk)

    :D

I've found that after a few glasses of wine, things start to get "interesting"...:D

I managed to get a Gold on Flatout last night even though I could barely see straight.
I suspect that's something to do with the amount of scenery I damaged though :rotfl:

Feel free to add me too guys im 29, im a fair gamer at some games and rubbish at others, but then again everyone is good and bad at different games.

I've played against a few of the guys here on Cod2 and Cod3 always found them to be a great laugh, Doesnt matter if you win or loose you'll always have a good time, which when im spending £300 on a console and £40 a time on a game, is a lot more important than some pointless number by your name that really means nothing.

If anyone wants to add me feel free. I still get drawn back to Gears every other week or so, but do play other games online mostly with friends as the American teens tend to annoy me.

    37 by the way.:D

Well I must say I don't feel quite as bad now.
The wife had a little dig last week implying that at 38 I'm getting a bit too old to play games.
I'll point her in the direction of this thread...:D

There was a post on here a few months back, something along the lines of "can I ask a personal question" I think that's what it was called anyway. Everyone put their ages down and the over whelming bracket was 25 - 35 - Except Evilest who I'm sure is about 73 - at least that's what you would think watching him play! :rotfl:

Anyway, main point of this post is that the misses is out tonight, I have no work tomorrow so anyone up for some good ol fashion gears action?

Oh yeah and about sending out invites for firends, as long as out AVF in there some where you should be fine, otherwise you will most likely get ignored.

She doesn't mind really, it was just to wind me up a bit.
After all, she plays it herself and really likes the fighting games like Soul Calibur.

It did get me thinking though that perhaps I should start acting my age...

Well you can add me into the old bracket as well. Over 40 now. Where did it all go? Anyway, I regularly get stuffed at Halo 2 by my 10 year old nephew so I'm sure I'll be up for a kicking on Halo 3 by all you other "older" gamers. LOL. :rotfl:

Glad another one of these threads has come up, I lost a lot of people of my firends list while my 360 was away getting repaired. Anyone feel free to add me and hope it's ok if I fire out a few FR to the guys in the thread.
I'm 34 and work shifts so may not be on for a few days at a time. Can't wait for some COD4 and Halo3 action! :)

All you oldies crawling out of the woodwork eh?:rotfl: Feeling quite springy at 27 now! Wont get up to much this weekend what with the Rugby World cup but I am off work from Thursday next week so will see you guys for a crack at Co-op if anyone thought ahead like me and cleared their schedules.

One good thing about being "older" bit more cash so I'm thinking a lot of you have pretty decent setups?? Thinking of using this calibration thing which ships with Halo 3 be interesting to see if it makes any difference…..:)

If I get an FR, I delete them unless:

    • I've been sent an introduction message as well,
    • I recognise the Gamertag from here and the person concerned hasn't shown themselves to be a complete muppet (which is fortunately very rare around here), or
    • They have AVF or AVForums or something like that in their Gamertag motto.

If they get past the deletion test, I accept :)

Putting AVF in your motto is a good idea because I think a lot of peeps on here will treat you much more favourably.

Oh yeah, and I'm 40 with two rugrats :)

I'm going to take down a load of names from this list and ping you all...hopefully will catch some of you around for a bit of killing.

I was added by a few of the guys on here last week, and though I haven't actually played with them yet, they seem a sound bunch from the messages we've exchanged.

Feel free to add me, if you don't mind having an Irishman on your Friends List... :D

Edit: While we're confessing, I'm 28 with two kids. My wife wants more, but I'm not so sure.

I don't know though, women tend to win these types of arguments:

"If we have another kid you can play your Xbox all weekend."

"Sounds good to me! Let's be having you then."

If she means all weekend, every weekend, forever more then I think that's a fair deal. If not I'd tell her to get on her bike.:rotfl:

Add me too, I am rubbish, but I put that down to being so old my hands are now arthritic claws and have to rely on random jabs at the joypad for it to do anything.

Any of the people that played me on COD2 will vouch for that!

I seem to have a lot in common with some people on here, Gears of War ruined by American TW*TS either abusing me or killing me as soon as the game starts even though I'm on the same team!!!..Played COD4 beta and get the same type of abuse yawwwwnnnnnnn. Will be buying Halo 3 and would like to play against some like minded people and just enjoy online play. Not very good at FPS games with the joypad, much prefer keyboard/mouse combo on PC having been playing COD2 for quite some time but i'm slowly improving (slowly). Gamertag richardlucas, and 38 years old

Feel free to add me too guys I'm 38, I've been playing games since Manic Miner on the Spectrum, but I'm pretty pants at most, even my 7 year old son is whipping me at most of our games! (must be those years of alcohol affecting my hand to eye co-ordination!)
