Didn't see it and hopefully won't.

One of the great things about "The Matrix" was that I heard nothing about it and didn't see any trailers about it before I saw it the day it came out in the UK at the cinema.

Now, the next two films are going to be hyped beyond belief and you may simply not be able to get away from it before the films themselves are released.

You are going to end up knowing what is going to happen, the names of all the characters and you will have seen all the good bits/set pieces. You are going to sit in the cinema knowing what is going to happen so you'll spend all your time thinking "Wonder what this will sound like as DTS in my home with my HC?" It's going to spoil the experience.

    IMHO of course :)

    Cheers

    Ian

    ^^ I agree with him :D

No need for me to see any of this, I've seen the teaser trailer and that's enough. I know I'm gonna see both movies, so I don't want spoil them.

Yeah, but only because you were thrown out the first 2 times for scaring children with your prosthetic Frodo limb :D

Supposedly both in the same year. Reloaded is set for May 15th stateside, dunno about here, maybe the same day. I would expect Revelations to be set for Christmas.

Wake up Sgt. :p - Reloaded is in May - having both in the same month would just be being greedy.

    Yes

This was just an interim cash-in to sell more of the original DVD. It was basically a disc of extras with behind the scenes footage of the next two films etc.

Watched the trailers, looks cool. I will watch them at the cinema first and if I like them I am sure to get the DVD.

Though occassionally people's handphone ring I have the impression Asians behave better at the movies than their European counterparts. At least I haven't been to a movie here where it was spoiled by some bad experience ....

Really looking forward to these two movies. I thought the original was excellent, just hope that they follow the high standards set with that.

Why are they releasing them so close together, when it was a couple of years ago since the original was out? What makes these two different to be released so close together?

no idea on the strategy... they could have released one this year and saved the other for next year thus milking the cashflow but as they've been working on them back to back since the last one was released I guess they figured they might as well release them close together.

Joel Silver and the Wahkowski (spelling) bros were concerned at how much Hollywood ripped off the bullet time thing until it became a joke. They have said previously that the two new films have had so much time and money spent on them and the effects and stunts within that no-one will be able to copy what they have done for a LONG time. I guess releasing them close together also cuts the chances of the second film being copied and ripped off before the third is released.

I don´t mind them being released so close together, saves having to wait ages to see the next installment.:)

Wish they would do the same with the Star Wars films.:(
