matrix SE 2003 (2 disc) is it going to be released

    Sod any rerelease, I'm waiting for the 2004 six disc Matrix trilogy box set that is bound to appear by april 2004.

    It was cancelled by the movies producer, Joel Silver.

    He felt that the extras gave to much away about Matrix 2 and 3.

    He has mentioned that at some point he'd like to release it with a better video transfer.

    I agree with James that it will probably appear when Reloaded and Revolutions hit DVD.

    Video Store magazine is reporting that Matrix producer Joel Silver was behind the cancellation of Warner's planned Matrix: Special Edition DVD.

    It seems Sliver felt that the double-disc edition gave away too much information about the upcoming sequel, Matrix: Reloaded. Not to worry, though... a better DVD of the film is planned. Silver reportedly wants to do a better transfer of the film for the next DVD release.

    Yeah I read that too Jonny. Supposed to have DTS6.1 too. The better transfer alone would make me want to upgrade my current Reg 4 copy (not that it's bad, but it's my No. 1 favourite movie, so I want the best possible transfer). I think we have a long wait though :(
