Anyone know when Revolutions is likely to be released on DVD? Reloaded was out fairly soon after the cinema release and I'm hoping that it will be the same for Revolutions.

That was to cash in before Revolutions was released.

I'd imagine they do they same for Revolutions, with a trilogy boxset sometime between easter and summer.

I agree that their will be a 2-disc 'Special Edition' like Reloaded and then sometime between Summer and Christmas the Super Deluxe Burly Edition will come out with the 3 movies, Animatrix and maybe the soundtracks and whatever else as well. Oh, and hopefully all the extras that appear to be missing off of the Special Editions so far!

But i have to say that i'm happy for this to happen this time. I thoroughly enjoyed Revolutions and would happily take a barebones edition now and upgrade later on.

I hope they put out a Revisited style documentary for Reloaded and Revolutions as well as all the trailers and commentarys. Something like the LOTR Extended Editions (extras and box) would be the dream. But then this is Warner we're talking about. :(

It would be nice if it were true. January would be just fine for me. I'd rather wait and see it in the comfort of my own home with a much better sound than to pay about the same dosh for me and the missus to see it at the cinema.

seeing that there is only 5 weeks to go, and most of the big films that are being released before xmas are starting to advertise now like Pirates Of The Caribbean,

because the movie disappeared up its own arse about 5 mins into reloaded and failed to get back out due the the heavy handed direction, SH*TE plot, bad acting and some very good (but very boring special effects i.e over long agent smith fight in reloaded).

all in all the biggest disappointment of the year!

    All 'In your opinion'.
You don't like the Matrix sequels, I've gathered. Shame that you still feel the need to post an negative comment on every Matrix-related thread.
So, obviously the dvd release of these films is of no interest to you - why even bother to post on a thread titled 'matrix revolutions release to dvd'?

I thought that reloaded was total and utter pants (presumably this is the origin of the movies ass)....... well that was until I got it home and watched it again. Í thought it was very enjoyable second time round and look forward to revolutions as soon as i can see it in english.

garyd, we all have our views, but be easy with them, the way you put it leaves you now open to all sorts of responses that would end up with this being an arguement.

Agreed. I've watched Reloaded a few times now and I enjoy it more and more every time I watch it (much more than when I saw it in the cinema, maybe I actually understand everything now! .:lesson: )

I post in the hope that some people will see the light, and see the matrix sequels for what they are - a cash cow for Warners. the sequels are utter tripe (in my opinion). god, i dont like the first one that much - but compered to the sequels its up there with the Godfather or Citizen Kane. But hey each to his/her own.

Oh hang on a minute - i've got to but my Flame suit on

a cash cow in terms of people would pay to see it no matter what, then lets face it it turned out to be - well, SH*T really. (echos of Star wars me thinks?)

lets face it its the biggest disappointment of the year - and the DVD was woeful.

A number of sites are running a story regarding a Jan. 6th
R1 release date. Apparently, Warner has confirmed this
    to a number of retailers.
