I'd also be very interested in seeing opinions.

    Play had it for £17.99.

I've seen a bit of the rolling demo in Game. Looks 'OK' but not spectacular.

I'm just a bit worried when a game comes out before its reviews. Driv3r anyone?

It's supposed to be OK but you need a good system. Gamespot and IGN have both reviewed it and given it marks in the 70% - 80% area. It is supposed to appeal more to MMORPG fans than fans of the movie and doesn't appeal too much to me as it's just the same old grind with a different facia to it. Wizards become Hackers and Warriors/Rogues become operatives. The skills bit is supposed to be good as you can reassign skills easily thus changing the type of character that you are quite easily.

OK i now own MATRIX ONLINE! here is my journey!

    1) installed the game (3 cd's - 15 minutes!)

    2) created master account (you have to be online (obv!) and sign up to an £8.99 a month account!) all this took about 10 minutes..

3)Rebooted the PC only to log on and find that the patch was now going to install all 154mb of it..! 1hr later i finally start the game....

4)Create my character... about 5 minutes

5)Finally start the tutorial and play the game....

    6) IS THIS WORTH IT???

    7) OMG YES... really yes! its a huge world with ppl from every country wondering around shooting at each other completing missions etc

    8) enough said!

    my handle is .. dreamer201

Sounds just like any other MMORPG. After reading the reviews it seems that this game doesn't really offer anything new. I like the way that you can easily alter all of your "skils" to basically recreate your character. In other MMORPG's you can do this but it often costs you a lot of money or time or you can't do it until a certain level.

How does it compare to the likes of DAoC, EQ, WoW, AO etc? I guess Anarchy Online would be the game closest to Matrix online that i've played so if you have any experience of that game it would be good to see how they compare.
