This has just started showing on the IMAX at Bristol.
£9.00 a ticket
is it full or cut or what?
My sister works at the imax in town, free tickets for me
Saw it in the London IMax. Not cut. Awesome.
Heres a hint and its a good one! GET THERE EARLY!
Saw it at Bradford got theer 15 mins before, and still got cack seats! You have to be at the back in the middle! Or you miss too much! had to see it again (shame!)
Your right about sitting middle or near the back!
I had an idea the first few rows would be useless, and i was right!
I ended up in the second row(middelseats).
The screen from that distance was way way to big!
In fact it was painful to watch, requiring massive head movements to follow the action.
Next time i go i will sit much further back, but i don't regret my "LARGE screen" experiance one bit.
For one thing any flying or swooping scenes filled you entire vision, giving a very real "i'm there!" feeling.
Second, i can now confirm the theory that there is such thing as having too big a screen!.
I will stick with my 100" diagonal thanks
Yes, if you sit too close, you get head aches from 'information overload' as there is so much to see!
Yeah, I went with some mates from work and we had to hang around waiting for them so we could dish out the tickets. They were late and we got naff seats and sore necks!!!
Do they keep the original aspect ratio of the film?
Not sure how they can fill the screen for IMAX as it's a totally different shape than a normal screen, ie instead of the usual oblong shaped shape isn't an IMAX higher than it is width ways ?
Shown in original aspect ratio but still bloody enormous. The film is printed onto large film stock which is then run horizontally through projector. They also show trailers for proper I-max films which fill the whole screen.
Did anybody stay to watch the trailer for Matrix3 after the film?
We did, and were shocked by the length of the credits for Matrix2.
I would be interested if this film set some sort or record.
They lasted well over ten minutes and just went on and on, and to make matters worse the trailer for Matrix3 only lasted two minutes max!
Thats atrocious, they must have been real twisting biftas to do that!
