Having just got a Wii I need to get another Component slot. Some of you have solved the problem by getting a YPbPr Power Box from play Asia. Most seem happy with it but I've been looking at a Master COMPONENT Controller. It seems to be a decent bit of kit and is a 'What Home Cinema Award Winner 2006' for what it's worth.

I love the fact that it has Automatic Priority switching, it means I can hide it away, and not have to worry about trying switching it over everytime.

Does anyone have one? Any comments?
    Thanks.:)

Yes...its an excellent device. It has 80Mhz bandwidth which is higher than most, meaning it won't affect the quality of the signal being passed through it. The automatic switching works perfectly...and you can daisychain them if you later want another input.

It is really a set-up and hide device. It does require a power supply which it comes with.

    Cheers Jonathan.:)

The need for a power supply is the only downer, I'm struggling for sockets as it is.

If you're happy to pay for it then go for it.

I have the cheap one from playasia and have found it very good, in stark contrast to the 2 posters above.

Evidence of the quality can be seen at the links below, 360 in HD running through it. Maybe I'm lucky, I have no idea, but the quality of the cheap little powerbox I got does me fine.

To be fair to the Powerbox, it has had 50/50 results, it didnt work for me, but i would guess their could be many reasons for this.

Although it works fine when just connecting interlaced, but when switched to progressive it just turned to poo lol.

But, it could be any number of things.

See I'd have one of these but it only gives you one extra input, if you're running an xbox + ps2 plus Wii through component it starts to get a bit expensive especially once you add in all the high quality cables needed to daisy chain.

I also have this and it's excellent. I looked at all the expensive options and then someone suggested this. I thought I'd take a gamble for that amount of money and it paid off. It's excellent :)

I'm thinking about getting the JS Tech one sometime after new year. I got some Belkin component leads from PC World for £7, nomally priced at £25. I have nothing to compare them against but they seem to do the job for my DVD player.

The source is a Natasha Bedingfield HD music video download from the 360 marketplace ages ago along with FN3 and DOA4.

Photo's are a reasonable way to gauge picture quality imo, certainly better than simply saying something looks good or bad as people can judge for themselves.
