Marmitek Gigavideo 70 with sky Plus

I hae just bought a Marmitek Gigavideo 70 sender to use with a Thomson 127K148 Sky+ unit. It works very well except that I cannot change channels on the receiving TV as it says I should be able to, any ideas?

Have you placed the IR repeater in front of the sky box?
