happy happy joy joy!!
I just hope the US version works with freeloader ok
That just looks SO good..........
I'd like to see lots more features/pickups, but if so, I hope there is an option that replicates the N64 experience as closesly as possible.
If only there there was a Goldeneye for the GC, I'd be able to get rid of my N64. No chance of that though.......
here's praying they include online play as well!!
Luckily I have an Xbox as well, so get to play Perfect Dark 0!!
But yes Goldeneye and Perfect Dark get aired at least once a week!!
No online play James
There's an 8 player LAN link-up though (not sure how that's gonna work)
It looks like an incredible game though.
I think Ninty's statement that they won't be showing any online titles this year will turn out to be a red herring big time.
The broadband adapter can be used to set up a LAN can't it?
No reason why it couldn't. It is the software that runs the protocols for the network connection.
Mariokart does look awesome!
Does look really good, but what is Luigi driving? looks like he has borrowed grandads car
Yeah, the BB adaptor could be used (hadn't thought about that)
Maybe Ninty are holding back some big announcement about online titles but why would they when sales are so low? Surely they would want to appeal to more customers by announcing online games
Is it me, or do all Nintendo consoles "blur" everything? I've seen the GC going on a 14" and it looks awful- dread to think on a 42" or bigger.
I prefer the Dreamcast graphics- much higher resolution, and not blurred to the point of being mushy.
My Gamecube looks superb on my 32" telly
Must be just you
I have mine connected via RGB to a 28" TV and the picture is absolutely perfect.
no its just you Nathan! You could never call Pikmin, SMS or Rogue Leader mushy. must have been the display.
The BB adaptors mention on the packaging that it is theoretically possible to use them to set up LANs.
Bash if you have anything other than Freeloader v1.06b send it back to Codejunkies and they will replace it free of charge, v1.06b irons out all the bugs.
It looks pretty sharp on my 7 foot wide (projector) screen!
I'd suggest maybe it was a poor quality cable (I've thrown away the RGB cable I got from Game). If not, maybe you viewed one with a dodgy TV (or a poorly adjusted one) or perhaps a composite (or horrors - RF) connection.
I'm totaly looking forwards to this!!
But there not really in 'karts' are they? More like Monster trucks.
of course i told you this last week... (bb adapter will be used and they reckon online suppoort is a go!!)
Online ? I have a doubt....
yes ninty doubt the profitability of online gaming but the xbox has already proved there is a consumer demand for it, they can't stick there heads in the sand forever!
Mario Kart would be the perfect game to launch Gamecube online proper, PSO is of fairly niche appeal in the west. I think there will be an announcement at E3... and I'm usually right!
Yes....I agree. Mario Kart would be a perfect game for online play. If it is online.
It would be great. But I'm not holding my breath.
Let's see.... I hope you're right, James.
Even if Nintendo don't officially support online play with Mario Kart GC - and it is looking like they won't, with repeated aspersions cast on all things on like by Miyamoto-san and others - I'm sure that within days someone will have created some tunneling software, and we'll all be happily racing each other over considerable distances!
