    Hi !

My name is Carlos , live in Sweden and I am a happy owner of a Marantz SR8002, but I have a problem, I have been configuring my remote control Philips Pronto TS9600 soon, and testing with my Marantz SR8002, remote control turn off the display of my Marantz .
I did a master reset of the Marantz SR8002 and the display doesn't light up, took the amplifier to a service center and tell me that everything is correct, there is no defective component,.
You could suggest me a possible solution

    Tank you

    Regards

    Carlos Barrera

I don't know what language User Manual you have, but the English one clearly states :-

'You can select the display mode for the front display
    of the unit.
To select this mode, press the DISPLAY on the
remote controller or the front panel.
When this button is pressed, the display mode is
    switched in the following sequence.
Input Mode → Surround Mode → Auto display OFF
→ Display OFF → Normal Mode → Input Mode'

    Does that not work ?

It does seem strange that a 'Master Reset' doesn't give a sensible default !
