Is it possible using the 6 & 7 channel to bi-amp the front channels with a Marantz SR7400 like in some Pioneer receivers and Denon 3805?

    Thanx! :)

I found this site while surfing - you can find the manuals for just about every Marantz product in it, including the SR7400. I have downloaded, but not read it yet, in anticipation of my purchase of one of these amps tomorrow.... :D

    I don't think it is.
You can either use the SBL and SBR speaker outputs to drive the centre back channel/s for DD EX and dts ES, or if you run with a 5.1 setup instead you can assign them to stereo multi room duties. There is no facility in the set up speaker options (or any other menus) to bi amp the front left and right channel.
BUT you can drive 2 sets of front speakers (A, B, A+B) not strictly bi amping (I think?) but don't know what would happen if you plug both speaker outputs, spk output A and B Left and A and B Right, into the their 1 pair of speakers. NOT going to try this with mine anyway!!

can't you set it up so A left and B left drive the left speaker and A right and B right drive the right speaker. Then enable A and B?
