I am stuck between the two amps:-

    Marantz SR5400
    Marantz SR5400(OSE)

For the OSE model marantz claims:-

"(OSE) is the Marantz self-tuned version of the SR5400.To dramatically improve the sound quality, all the components are critically examined, after which it is possible to determine where customisation is needed. At the end of this detailed process the power supply lines are enforced and the audio circuitry is tremendously tweaked."

I have celestion 305 AVP speakers which are 8ohm 5.1 satalite speakers.

Music is more important then movies.

It's difficult to get a demo of the amps side by side as not all suppliers stock both models.

The OSE is an additional £90.

Is there really a significant difference between the two amps?.

Would the exra cost justify the improved sound quality and better components?????

    Thanks in advance
