Needs to be quiet & clean sounding in stereo.

Can't make up my mind between NAD T762 & SR5400 OSE.
Low noise floor (low/no pre amp noise when no source is playing) is a must.

Anyone out there tested these machines thoroughly as stereo amps?

HT is almost as important for me.

Any comments on the two amps above appreciated

I will definetly go for the T762. But I think between both receivers, The NAD Price is much more Higher.

I have choosen this amp as the Amplifier Section is great, with loads of power reserves and able to drive my KEF TDM THX 4ohms Load Speakers without any hint of strain at all! I dont know how the marantz will kope with low load speakers but I think that both are great in multichannel and stereo reproduction! All that I can say is to have a demo of both Receivers with the same setup and judge for your self.

    ;)
