    Can the SR5300 be bi-wired?

My Mordaunt short centre and Left and Right have teminals for bi-wiring.

I was thinking of using stackable bannana plugs and run two runs of cable from each terminal (Pos + Neg) and then connect these on the speakers.

Is this safe to do, will it damage the amp?

    Thanks

I used to Bi-wire my Kef creata 2s to my SR5300 with no problems.
But I did not use banana plugs just the bear wire.

My new speakers are not bi-wire so I now longer bother.

But with banana plugs I am not 100% sure so you may want to see what someone else says.

By the way how do your Mordaunt shorts sound with the marantz ?

    Cheers

    yes it works !
    i do it!
    and it sound great!
No need to use stackable plugs
just use bair wire, or one plug.
    unless your using fat wire.
i use silver ani and two lengthes of that fit into one plug easy.

I used to do it before Bi-Amping and used stackable plugs, they stick out quite a way so don’t drop anything on them.:rotfl:

    Thanks for the replies.

    The MS sound awesome.

Our current house is small so they sound a bit restricted, ie the floor standers. Good news is that we're moving houses next week and the rooms twice the size. I can turn the volume up a bit :)

I'm goner use silver ani as well.
