I was just wondering if anyone where the serial numbers start, when people have started suffering from dropout problems with the Marantz sr-5400?

i have suffered with the problem since i first purchased my marantz sr-5400 and have tried everything to stop it from occuring any suggestions on this front would be more then welcome too.

    Thanks Martin

I think it is a known issue: return it to your dealer as there is a fix for it.

I could help you if you were in France as this issue has been mentioned several times on different forums and also confirmed by retailers (even on one of their website "Hifissimo.fr" but not anymore).

If my memory serves me well, it is not a firmware fix but a chip has to be changed.
