Did they mention price or profile ??
It's going to be profile 1.1 minimum and expect this unit in Q1 2008. Price TBD.
I sometimes think i will start a ........... now going to....... Thanks for the info !!
Looks like they are going high end with the integrated Realta VP. I would guestimate $3000+.
BLIMEY......... that will be on my 'if i win the lottery list' then ............ Thanks
Looks like it is based on the Denon 3800 design.
Looks very nice. Possibly the best looking one so far. But does it really need to be so big?
Maybe because it has a big ole hard drive in it .......... or even an actual Denon 3800 inside....
The Marantz and Denon machines are likely to be more similar than different.
Both companies are owned by D&M Holdings. And they may well come out of a Funai factory.
I suspect the Marantz will have more audiophile friendly components. Heres hoping that Ken Ishiwata gets to work his magic over the UK/European version
ohh, and a divx logo on the front aswell. Looks like hd-dvd is about the only format it doesnt play , some size of a machine though.
Whats with the "DTS HD Raw Data"? is that just "Master Audio"?
And the realta chip, is that just for upscaling DVDs to 1080p?
The raw data is bitstream over HDMI as far as I know, so this player will have no internal decoder for True-HD or DTS-MA.
looks pretty sturdy. reminds me of the older big Denons.
Yet more choice cant hurt.
Looks like the blu ray player for me
It does look like a "beast" of a player. SHould be good!
Any more news on this one?
I don't suppose it will support SACD and DVD-audio?
