Has anyone bought or demo'd the Marantz DV7500 . Just interested to know what it's like and how it compares to the other universal players. Thanks B.K.
I think Marantz is concentrating on the 9500 release for now so I am not 100% sure it is actually released yet.
The 7500 has now changed to the 7600 and is not available yet. Should be available in a month or two.
It's not what you see here... http://www.marantz.com/new/index.cfm?fuseaction=Products.ProdCat&cont=eu&bus=hf&type=dvd&series=comp Where did you got that info? M.
Geezer Any idea why they are changing from Dv 7500 to Dv 7600 when the DV 7500 has only just been released...infact some retailers have said they are only expecting it this month? Confused
As I said previously I don't think it ever actually got released so you might want to consider the 7500 still-born and the 7600 the definitve model.
Tons is correct, the DV7500 was never actually released. Just with delays that have happened it has been renamed the 7600. It should be available the end of March.
why was that? problems in manufacturing? or problems with the DV7500 itself? well, better to wait and release a good product, than send a "lemon" to the market... Or is it just to prevent eating some of the DV9500 market share?? M.
At leats there's a review of the DV9500 available a few time ago: http://www.hifissimo.com/store/loadpage.cgi?user_id=7139&file=text/be_marantzdv9500.html
You can always try Korean (is it?) http://www.avbuzz.com/eq/dvd9500/dvd95002.htm At least there are a lot of pictures of the inside... also a comparison with the denon 3910: http://www.avbuzz.com/eq/9500vs3910/9500vs3910.htm M.
Yes its one of the worst miserable dull uninteresting bland sites you can find ive found,if you want to buy a piece of marantz eqp dont look on here its usually out of date ,or the stuff your interested in is not shown in any detail, only my opinion though.
I dont know if it hit all european countires but it is available in Spain for a little bit more then the price of the denon 2910 i dont know however how it compares to the Denon but i would love to since i was in the market for the dv 6500 but i might get even more broke and get the dv 7600. all the best
Hi jazzman, did you see it on-line, or in a store? Where? If in a store, could you ask for an audition, and post here your impressions? I'm really curious to see and hear this baby... M.
Unfortunatly i found it in a store on the internet in spain actually 2 different stores one was www.globaltv.es the other one was www.supersonido.es therfore no chance to audition it sorry But as you i would love to hear the feedback on that. If anyone has the oportunity
Marantz will be releasing the DV7600 in Belgium today. I hope I can get an audition this weekend. It will cost about 1.000 Euro's. At this price it's a little bit more expensive than the Denon 2910 (700 Euro) and a little less than the Denon 3910 (1.200 Euro). Is it already released in the U.K. ?
Would it be right to say that the Marantz DV9500 competes (as a flagship model) with the (other flagship models of) Pioneer 868 and Denon 3910. Also, then is it right to compare the DV7600 with the Pioneer 668 and Denon 2910. The latter triplet seem to be more around my budget and I don't have any SACD's or DVD-A's but I certainly intend to, but I would admit that the player will be more for DVD-V. As I see it there is a big price difference between the Marantz and the other 2. Reveiws rave of the Denon 2910, not so much of the Pionner 668 and I can find none really of the Marantz 7600. Oh, I don't know if it helps much, I posted in another thread that you can see a review where the Marantz 6500 is compared with Denon 2910 and Pioneer 668 and HarmanKardon ?model. It is on the Marantz web site under the said player and look for the tab "reviews". It is a downloadable .pdf and shows the 6500 as the winner despite non DVi or HDMI. I have learnt from other threads, particularly the LCD/Plasma tv ones that good component is still very much on par if NOT BETTER than DVI or HDMI. Being Hi Fi freakish, though, I want the latest and best so would love to hear what others think or know.
