    Anyone out there reviewed this player? I haven't seen any magazine reviews but I note that What HiFi loved Marantz's cheaper 4100 OSE, saying it was great for movies and music.

    The DV7010 retails at £699 but I see that HiFi Bitz do a multi region version for £499 which sounds like a pretty good deal IF it's any good.

    So, if you've auditioned it, what was it like (for moves and music).

    I bought one last month as I could get a good deal on it here in Holland.

    I didn't demo it side by side so can't really give you any help there. I've only watched a few DVD's so far and it's fine. I bought it as it will be my main CD player as well and expected respectable CD replay. It was described to me as a CD player with DVD. Waiting for my Denon 3802 amp before I can confirm the sound replay.

    Only points to watch are reasonably noisy disc mechanism - noisier than on my old Sony 725, no component out and the picture freezes on the layer change for a second or two.

    I'm happy with my purchase.<br /> <img src="tongue.gif" border="0">
