    Cheers,

I got my RC1400 a few days ago.

    Highlights:

    • Nicely backlit LCD and buttons(blue)
    • Up to 20 commands can be named individually on the LCD for each device
    • Useful hardbuttons (including dedicated play, stop, pause etc. buttons, which the RC1200 didn't have)
    • Strong IR, hence operating distance is great

    Lowlights:

    • Poor contrast of LCD (even though it's adjustable)
    • Poor building quality (cheap plastic IMO)
    • can't learn all of my devices perfectly (it's having problems with my TV and my Set-Top Box)
    • rather expensive for the performance it delivers

Summary: Good remote with some major problems and way too expensive. If it retailed at half of the price, it would be a recommendation.
