Hi everyone. I'm new to the idea of buying a "big" telly. However, I have been researching them for a while.

Damn annoying that just about every television appears to have some sort of fault! You'd think manufacturers would do a little better as they are taking £1k of our cash!

I'm interested in the Thomson WB643. John Lewis doesn't stock this item so I can't take advantage of the 5 yr extended warranty with them.

    Options:
1/ Buy with a Barclaycard and get an extra 2 yr manufacturers extension
2/ Buy from retailer {Comet..} and buy their warranty. They are telling me
it will be much much more benificial than a standard manufacturers warranty as I won't be charged call outs etc..

    Any advice would be appreciated.
