Manhattan Plaza HDR.S might be dying - boot problem.

My Freesat PVR appears to be getting old and wonky, the problem is that at some point while being on standby it switches to on as in light goes from red to blue and yet the screen is blank with "no signal" message and no response from the remote. Previously I just needed to do a cold boot unplugging for a few seconds but now sometimes it has to be left for several minutes before it'll play ball.
When its running it's fine. Anyone got one of these?

Bump anyone? Also has anyone ever replaced a HD in a sat box? Hard or tricky,?

If the Plaza is like Manhattan's other boxes it should be just a case of taking the lid off and replacing the HDD. Drop Manhattan an email. I'm sure that they'll be able to help.

I've got a new box, the Arris! Picking it up tomorrow.

Don't expect 5.1 audio from it. The firmware update to fix that is not due until June at the earliest.
