Manchester has been seriously invaded and trashed. Horrible journey home!

I work in the centre of Manchester, and even at 8am this morning football fans were everywhere.

When I left the office at 5.45, I expected to make my usual 10 minute walk to Piccadilly station and easily catch my 6.15 train home.
But flippin' eck, I've never seen no many people in one place in my entire life, and everywhere is carpeted with beer bottles, cans, papers and fast food cartons. It's unbelievable.

My usual 10 minute walk took 45 minutes as I had to literally 'push' my way through a wall of people everywhere. Obviously I missed my train home.
I'm not a football fan so I've rarely experienced football crouds, but I'm sure this was on a different level altogether. There must have been hundreds of thousands of people packed around the city.

I have to add that I didn't see any trouble brewing. Just a trashed city.
