Some night shots round my town. Some better then others

The big wheel has just been put up in exchange square and is the biggest mobile wheel in the world (its said) Spent the last two years in paris, it's here until feb. The glass building is the Urbis, its a fantasic building.

The Long exposure was taken on potland st where you stayed tom when you came for a vistit. The big screen is also in exchange square and its where everybody watches international matches. Even changing rooms:laugh:

Finally the printworks where the imax is (get in for free as my sister works there :smoke: )

    Edit:

Added this geezer who's been going round singing in to a toy mic for years in town:laugh: Not much to do with night i know, but i took it on the same night as some of the pics.

Evreybody was falling about laughing. But we was laughing most of all because we knew he was going to ask everybody for money when he'd finished :rotfl:

Well i dont have any hc gear anymore. Only thing i'm in to now is taking photos, as bad as most of them are:rolleyes:. In 15 months i've gone from a £300 ixus400 to a £1100 D20. So for me, cameras are more addictive then hc was, just as expensive at time:rolleyes:

Loads to learn, which is what i wanted:)

i find the cheapest tripod available at gigs is the top of speaker stacks, it beats dragging a tripod around and unlike most other tripods ive seen, it actually includes a built in pint glass holder, how good is that!

I've been messing round with D70 for good night shots but have not yet found the proper settings!

What lens have you got on your D20 for the aperture to go f29?

I've only got the 18-50 mm i had it on shutter priority the camera selected 29 itself. the normal night shots were no more then f.6.3 and ranged from 1/10 to 1/20 of a sec. But manually i can whack it up to F/32. But that would only be for long exposures of course
