well i finally rented it...i gotta say its a great movie. it really took me back to movies like Halloween and Texas Chainsaw Massacre. I gotta get it on dvd to see the xtra features:) ...and to watch it again. wonder if they will make another one...apparently Malevolence is part of a trilogy.

Be honest: are you promoting the film, because that's just wrong? :) Jk, I haven't heard anything about it yet, is it really supposed to be as good as the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre? I just like the title, great for a horror film.

It's not Rotten Tomatoes' review. The way they work is that they gather all the reviews from key press and other media and arrive at an average score based on good vs. bad reviews.

60% is the score a movie has to reach to have "Fresh" (recommended) status.

    "Malevolence" scores 22%. :(

Must admit when I saw a trailer for this a while back, it screamed "BAD MOVIE" very loudly...
