Are these in 16:9 ratio like they are on BBC?

Nah, 4:3 unfortunately. Probably cos it's american and they still like their rear-pro 4:3 tvs out there

If you can play R1 discs it's worth buying now as the extras are good as well. £19.99 on playusa.com (might be cheaper elsewhere though). :smashin:

    Supplements: What Goodies Are There?

....Also included is Malcolm Vision, an interesting, if overdone, explanation of why the show creators decided to shoot 1.85:1 widescreen and then format to 1.33:1....

Wonder if R2 will be 16:9 -- as per BBC -- if there's plans for publishing R2 version of MitM that is.

I'd prefer 16:9, even if it's only R2 -- as per Buffy etc

Included as a special feature on the r1 is Malcolm Vision, an interesting, if overdone, explanation of why the show creators decided to shoot 1.85:1 widescreen and then format to 1.33:1.

    There were many framing errors.

Err... how come BBC transmits the show in 16:9 and not 4:3 then?

Can't say I ever noticed any "framing errors"

I think BBC broadcast series 2 16:9 not series 1.

Bump anyone got an updat on this? Just finished watch season 1 and I normally hate American sit coms, but I've nearly p**sed myself watching this, it is without doubt one of the funniest comedies I've ever seen (IMHO)

    Regards
    John

DVD concept have it as a pre-order, does this mean its release is imminent?
