    Hi!
Has anyone tested if this player really is able to show progressive PAL??
If not, what DVDplayer should I buy to get it??

I've recently bought this player. It's NTSC Progresive signal is very impressive for such an inexpensive player. It will convert PAL to NTSC in either direction. Since my display is NTSC I cannot definitively tell you that it will do PAL progressive. I think it will. Try searching or asking at the Audio Video Science Forum. www.avsforum.com Try the DVD & LD section there.

All I've played in mine so far is NTSC DVD's. I have two region 2 PAL discs currently in transit to me. I very curious to see the converter work. I know the Skyworth player does PAL progressive. I don't think it's available anymore.

I got my player from www.220-electronics.com Their players have the latest software. Some of the earlier software had dropout problems with DTS sountracks. Best wishes!

Djanzon,I have found out from a Malata guru that the player will do PAL progressive. I played a PAL disc progressively last night but the player's format converter turned it to NTSC for my TV. So, I'm not sure if that counts. Beware if you buy this player the manual is lacking, but it's a good player once you figur things out. Next I'm going to try to master it's scaling. Best wishes!

    Rachael,

Why didn't you play it all the way through in one go.

:p I know what you mean Ian but 33 & 1/3 RPM makes for such intresting viewing! When I jumped to 78 RPM I saw Nat King Cole on Route 66. Sey la vie.....
