I intend to make a screen from 6mm MDF, i want a 7ft diagonal 16:9 which after looking at projector central and the model projector should work out at
40.5" high x 72" wide "viewable". Could anyone be kind enough to check this for me. The projector model is an infocus 7200. :smashin:
I want this made for when it arrives. One other thing if i watch a movie that is a different aspect ratio [but still widescreen] am i right in the opinion that i would get black bars rather than the image overlapping screen....Help

    Thanks all

Just had a looksy and 84" diagonal works out at 73" wide by 41" high.
And you are correct re aspect ratio and the projected image, 16:9 material which is actually 1.78 (16 divided by 9 = 1.78) will use all the screen area, 1.85 material will give shallow black bars top and bottom, more widescreen formats 2.35 etc will appear with larger black bars top and bottom, the width of the image will always be the same and will use the full screen width near as damn it.
