    Hi,

Looking to build my own mains cable for my AE500, anyone know what the IEC connector is which plugs into this projector. Looked in a few places on the web but can't see the same connector anywhere. Anyone able to point me in the right directions.

    Any advice appreciated
    Thanks

Could you not just extend the lead you have?

Sorry jason do you have a direct link to the connector searched through the IEC's on both sites you recommended but couldn't find the right one.

I've attached a diagram of the connector config, thanks

Thanks also from me, there is another thread on the DIY forum and we have been looking for these connectors for some time, si I've posted your answer there as well.

One slight concern Maplins don't actully say it is a C5 plug, it isn't the minature version is it??

    Cheers

Just to let anyone interested know, this Maplin part is NOT a C5 connector :(

I still cannot find a supplier of re-wireable C5 connectors

    Cheers

I'm pretty sure you can buy wattgate IEC plugs with this sort of conenctor as an option.

I've search for Wattgate ones in the past and couldn't find them.

Any idea where you may have seen them?

    Cheers
