Went to the cinema on Saturday and watched "The Incredibles" which was tremendous fun and highly recommended. :smashin:

Then went straight into "The Forgotten" with Julianne Moore, a psycho-thriller/sci-fi hodge-podge which disappears more and more up its own convoluted arse with every passing minute.

The shooting style and ambience of the movie strives to convince us that we are watching a "quality" movie, but the incredibly stupid script tells us otherwise. A plot so full of holes you could strain peas through it - awful.

Loads of guffaws from the audience during "dramatic" moments does not bode well for a movie, and believe me this movie prompted regular outbursts of laughter from around the auditorium.

Smelt a rat with this one before I saw it and wasn't wrong. Thank God I didn't actually pay to see it!

    A mess! :thumbsdow

A film destined to live up to its title methinks...

Haven't seen the Forgotten, but have to agree with you on The Incredibles. Brilliant fun and top story...should have been a summer "blockbuster"...but then it would have gone up against "Van Helsing" and...(insert nasty comments here...)

Loved The Incredibles- especially as my 8.30 showing was almost a child free zone :smashin:. One of the best films I've seen all year and boy am I looking forward to the DVD.

My brother and I were discussing the thorny ethical issue of finding Elastigirl (a figment of somebody elses imagination) attractive .

I've always wanted to do this but never had the guts! If you are saying you went from one auditorium to the next without them knowing!

Incredibles was good..far better than Shrek 2 and the Shark Tales crap.

 How did you guess!

First time I've ever done it too. Was swept along in a tide of humanity entering the next screen to the one I was leaving, and no matter how hard I struggled...

Oh and my evil mate Bad Dave made me do it too. Apparently he and his 70 year old mum do it all the time when he takes her to the flicks.

Didn't trouble my conscience too much, as Holly & Wood has taken my hard earned dosh for some right dross over the past few years. So I figure between that and the money they get off me for multiple purchases of Director's Cuts and Special Editions of the same movie announced the week after I've bought the standard edition, they owe me some.

Not that I can ever reclaim the two hours of my life wasted in front of the likes of "Van Helsing". But let's not go there again...
