    hi people,

    im currently at the moment having this argument or whatever u want to call a clash of opinions about the distance to sit from a projected screen!

    Heres goes

    is sitting 3meters 70cm from a DLP projected screen ranging from 70"-80" too close?

    please can you confirm wether its t0o close or not!

    No not really. General rule of thumb is 1.5x screen width min distance.

    I sit stupidly close because i'm still trying to prove to my parents it won't make my eyes go square...

    It depends on the projector and the sources.

    Ideally you would want to sit far enough away so you can't see the picture structure or unwanted processing artefacts. For some devices this could be 1 times screen width and for others it could be over 2. Is there anyway you can view projected image the size you want on your chosen display?
