Sorry if this has been asked before although I did do a search and found nothing:
I have an active subwoofer (Teac) and every time the washing mahine, tumble dryer or central heating pump switches on or off I hear a loud "thump" coming through the sub. This is oviously a mains spike that the sub can't deal with.
Has anyone else experienced this, and have you found a solution e.g. an in-line filter etc.
    Thanks.

This happened when I had an eltax subwoofer (hey I was young and stupid:)). It used to thump whenever a light went on.

However, this did not happen when I upgraded to a Rel q200, leaving me to believe that the eltax was just a big pile of crap:)

You could try an in-line mains filter from Maplins or a signal filter which costs bout £6. this will prob solve it, but if it doesn't Maplins or prob elsewhere will take goods back, just don't damage the box.
