    Just to clarify as its come up again - Current Sony Screens Dont support HDCP so no HD from Sky

    E-mail from Sony to my question on this: (I asked if they intended upgrading the media box that comes with the screens)

    Thank you for your recent enquiry.

    Currently the majority of new Sony LCD and Plasma panels are high definition compatible, unfortunately the use of component inputs rather than HDMI or DVI may restrict the panels if these connections are used for the high definition standard, if this is the case then it is likely that a new range of sets will be produced similar to those in the USA that utilise these connections for their high definition services. However it is unlikely that the current range will see a modification or upgrade that would see a DVI or HDMI point being incorporated into them.
