Magnetic Racks

Not really sure this is an appliance, but it's more suited here than GC.

Anyway, been wanting one for ages and stumbled across this Master Class Magnetic Knife Rack - Large.

Aboslute bargain but are they any good. There's another one on there for over £100 but only slightly bigger.

Is the magnet in the more expensive ones much better. Don't want them falling off while i'm doing the washing up!

I have always shied away from magnetic knife racks on the grounds that moving an iron object through a magnetic field agitates its molecules and the knife eventually loses its edge.

However, this goes back to my A-level physics of a long time ago, so is open to correction.

I have two of these and they're great IKEA | Wall & workspace organisers | Rails & wall storage | GRUNDTAL | Magnetic knife rack. They don't blunt the knives
