I did have this listed to sell so I could fund a Ivy-E system (when released) but I would be happy to trade it for any X79 system. Would also consider other i7 high spec systems but I would prefer X79.

    Specs;

Macbook Pro Retina 15" + Accessories
    2.3Ghz i7 256GB SSD 8GB Ram

Its boxed in excellent condition with all original accessories plus extras. Was purchased January this year so comes with approximately 7 months remaining AppleCare.

Its a non UK standard keyboard but came standard with UK Plug. It was purchased from Gibraltar where they have UK 3 pin plugs like us. I have owned a US Macbook Air a while ago and I think its the same layout as that but I could be wrong so please check if its important to you.

    Accessories are;

    Carbon Macbook Skin

    TwelveSouth HiRise Stand

    Apple Magic Mouse

    15" Thule Attache Case

Trade value set @ £1300 (Collected)

    Location: Oldham
I have read the trading rules and agree to abide by them at all times until the transaction is concluded to the satisfaction of all parties involved : Yes.

Please be advised, all buyers and sellers should satisfy themselves that the other party is genuine by providing the following via PM to each other after negotiations are complete and prior to dispatching goods and making payment:
    1) Landline telephone number. Make a call to check out the area code and number are correct too!
    2) Name and address including postcode
    3) Valid e-mail address (no disposable addresses such as @gmail or @yahoo for example).

DO NOT proceed with a deal until you are completely satisfied with all details being correct. It's in your best interest to check out these details yourself.
Also we advise that the vendor post images of the items for sale. This helps your sale by showing the condition of the goods prior to dispatch.

Any offers? I have cash too if someone has a top spec pc

If anyone is concerned about this being from Gibraltar you don't need to be, it's still valid in the UK even though there's tension there now :)

Can someone please tell me if this is over priced or something? Usually always get offers for any MacBooks on here .

I can adjust price if it's fair.

    Thanks

    £1200 + delivery. £25 should cover delivery.

    Thanks

I think the lack of offers is due to the potential impending refresh. I struggled with my MBP too so decided just to keep it. I've got a feeling people are holding on for a few weeks in the hope the refresh will push prices on second hand stuff down.

I may just keep it myself but I told myself I wasn't building a new pc and was just going to get a new console but thats not looking like its going to happen.

I'm aware they're due a haswell refresh but if I was buying I would consider the fact that I am asking £600+ off retail and it comes with £200+ of accessories so I can understand if some people want to wait but these have already taken a hit surely they can't drop any more.

I know I would rather keep than "give" it away.

Thanks for the input though, think the same thing is happening with my iPhone 5.

same as what steelerdean has said

i am looking for a mac (macbook pro & imac), in fact in the very near future i will hope to be buying one but i am waiting for the announcement at WWDC which is rumored to be 10th sept to decide to buy i new one or a used one.

i know the refresh is not normally much...but there's nothing worse than spending a load of cash on something, only to be replaced in a few weeks by something better and that you wished you waited.

WWDC is only approx 2 weeks away, and on a few mac forums they have mentioned that new macs have remained flat for sales in july - 5% drop yoy:

Mac Sales Remain Flat in July, 5% Year Over Year Drop Expected for September Quarter - Mac Rumors

I'm not denying that sales will drop but that is on retail sales and I think this model still retails for £1799. If I was asking £1500 than it would explain the lack of interest but I have reduced it massively.

Maybe after the refresh when there's no dedicated GPU it will swing the other way and people will want the older model.

Either way, thanks for the input from you both but I think I will leave it @ £1200 for the bundle and if I keep it then I guess I am buying an Xbox One

Last drop before it's easier to keep than sell.

    £1100 + p&p.

Is it the same as a US keyboard layout in terms of what is on the keys? Or are there are any other different symbols on the keys? I am potentially interested if it's like a standard us keyboard- if you could post a picture of it to confirm that' be great.

Finally, when you say excellent, does that mean no marks?

Yes I think it's the exact same as US.

I will take a picture but I'm sure it is.

Yes no marks as it's in a carbon skin and has been since new.

Would be interested in the PC but I think I would need an i7 for my needs.

    Happy to discuss though.

    Thanks

I agree, even though a refresh is due this it's still well priced.

Keep an eye out next month but a refresh will surely be released then and I won't be able to lower the price further or I will keep it.

    Thanks

a refresh is likely to bring better battery life (haswell) and better (at least in terms of efficiency) gpu but of course with that the standard rrp, of which will be way out of my budget. i need a new computer and if nobody comes to their senses then this will be my first consideration when my student loan comes through next month!

Sorry looking for higher spec, I am awaiting ivy-e and rumour is it's still X79 so would be happy to trade for a Sandy-E rig or sell it. Wouldn't be happy so will be looking to upgrade if I traded for something else.

I still think it's priced well to sell so will stick to that for now or trade for an X79 system.

    Thanks

And sorry I had my reply to the 3570K system within another question.

You'd probably be best lowing the price for the sale. The type of people that own high end gaming PC's are PC enthusiast and will either have a mac or don't like them.

I'll offer £1000 delivered. I appreciate this is probably lower than you want, but with new models likely round the corner, it's only going to drive the prices of older models down.

I can appreciate a new model is round the corner but its already reduced massively. The new model has already cause the hit on the resale value.

They still retail for £1799 so when you think its approx £800 just for battery life I can't see them selling for any less. The 13" models are still fetching £900+.

I think delivery will be around £25 for RMSD which I can get done today but I would need to negotiate a bit if you can.

Macbook with the fitted Skin and Thule case for £1000 + P&P and it can be posted today. I am not sure but I think RMSD would arrive tomorrow.

    Update**

It can be delivered on a Saturday with RMSD for an extra fee which I would cover if the deal goes through today.

    Thanks
