So I've recived an email from apple stating that if you buy a mac including the white macbook you can get £145 worth of ipod

Ohh I have a quick question if I was to do this does education discount still count ?

I just took my daughters white MacBook back which I purchased last week under education discount.

We exchanged it for newer one that has just come out and the guy said hey today we are starting a special offer of a free Ipod.

Its not actually free as you have have to pay for it then claim back the money less VAT. So basically we got a 8GB Ipod £24.75 i.e 165 - 24.75 = £140.25 off.

However as I said you have to pay the full cost and then send a form to Apple who then credit your account in about 4-6 weeks time.

Yes. The season has started really early over here the US is usually a couple of months ahead of the UK.
