MAC compatible ISP

Hi

Am trying to sort out broadband for my missus, who works from home alot on her Apple Mac.

She was hoping to get the cobined Orange deal for broadband, line rental, evening and weekend calls and mobile phone contract. However the bloke she spoke to at Orange told her that their service was incompatible with macs.

I thought he meant they did not offer technical support for macs but he seemed to think that the modem and wireless connection wouldn't work.

AOL, Virgin and the cheaper Sky deals are all unavailable in our area ahich is mid Wales.

Can anybody suggest an ISP that would be compatible with a Mac in an ADSL wholesale area?

Thanks in advance, Jon.

ADSL technology is not specific to PC, Mac, Windows, Linux etc.

Any ADSL supplier should work. It may be they do not offer technical support for your platform or that the software they give you (router/modem set up, anti-virus or whatever) is not compatible with what you are using. 9 times out of 10 you don't need any of the software they give you.

Dodged a bullet so far as Orange are concerned anyway.

Check out IDnet, Newnet, Zen or an Entanet reseller like ADSL24.
