i had an audition with the monitor audio radius package recently and liked it but i thought the R90's looked a bit ridiculous perched on top of the much larger nexus stand. the MA S1 "bookshelf" speakers would look more sensible - is there any reason why this setup might not work? e.g. might it adversely affect the sound ?

I love my S1's.... had them for about 15 months now. they are great speakers for the money. I think they should sound fine with the Radius'

The right speaker has to go on a shelf so i can't use floorstanders.

Is the R270 actually available yet - no web site has it so i don't even know how much they cost ?
