m2ts file conversion

I have a Sony Bravia TV that can record TV programmes onto a USB stick. All well and good, it works. However, is there any way I can convert the resulting m2ts file into, say, an mp4 file? I have tried RipBot, ClipWrap and TsMux but they don't seem to work. Any help would be appreciated.

You are wasting your time, TV's that record to usb encrypt the content. Only the TV that recorded it will play it back. No doubt when you try and open the file the software complains there is no PMT table.
