    Hello all,

    After much searching, and confusion:

I am connecting (or attempting to connect) a Motorola QIP6416-2 set top box to a Dell 3400MP projector. I recently had FiOS installed, and the only cable the tech had was s-video, which worked, and I had picture. To get the full capability of the HD channels, I purchased a HDMI to M1-DA cable. From what I understand the only HD friendly input on the projector is the M1-DA (other inputs are s-video, and composite)

When I turn the cable box on, the projector recognizes a signal, and goes into a blue screen of death that reads "out of range".

Are my HD signal, and sweet new cable better than my projector?

    Help! :lease:

It sounds like the resolution set on the HD box is higher/different to what the pj accepts.

The pj is 720p/1080i at best, make sure one of these setting is chosen and not 1080p.
