    Hi benny,

Welcome to the Forum, Yes the SS-150 THX speakers would be a good match for the 850's, you may also want to consider the M&K Column Surround speakers which are also very good speakers and work really well, there is also the option of the cheaper K4 surrounds which are very good and quite a few forum members use these. I have not heard any other surround speakers that work as good as the M&K's.

    Cheers
    John

    Hi,

A few weeks ago I auditioned the S-150 package using SS-150 for surrounds, they sounded fantastic. I recently also auditioned the 850's using K4 surrounds. The K4's were OK, but I found them a bit distracting. I prefer the SS-150's & agree with John, the SS-150's would go well with the 850's.
As John says, you should also consider the column surrounds. I've had my CS-29's for a few days now and think they're fantastic. They create an extremely effective surround field around the listening position and the F/X's just seem to appear from everywhere. You can't tell if they're coming directly from the speakers, just how it should be.

I have the 850 for the left centre and right and I also have the 150's for the rears. Great choice and work perfectly well together. My 150s are wall mounted at head height.

The mks also like good speaker cables. Kimbers are recommended.
