    Hi

I have several speaker systems in mind and about £4,000 max to spend on speakers and a decent amp to drive them.

After reading various comments on the forum from M&K devotees I am particularly interested in the 851 series and the 651 series and will hopefully get demo's of both shortly.

I know I have got to budget for decent stands for the speakers but will be buggered if I will pay £600 a pair for M&K pedestals. Is this folly or does anyone have a suggestion.

I intend to have speakers that are black or titanium to hopefully complement my TV

Help would be appreciated. I didn't think spending money could be this stressfull !!!

I use a pair of Atacama SE6's with my M&K MPS1510's and they are a superb match. The 1510's are pretty small but the top plate of the SE6's are just a bit smaller so it looks spot on.

    Matt.

Being a bit taller than Matt I use Atacama SE7's for mine and one of these days will even get around to filling them with something.

When i had M&K 750THX Select system, the Partington Discovery stands were about as perfect match as you could get.

The M&K ST Wall Tilt brackets are THE best rear speaker brackets i have ever used.

They are pricey (£150 each - well was when i had 'em)

But, basically, you could do 'chin-ups' on them!

I'll second a vote for the M&K ST Tilt wall brackets. I am using them all around for my 750 THX system and they are an over-engineered marvel.

So did I. I wonder if he knows where his PM's are located?

Oh well, I'm sure he'll reply to us both when he realises...
