Yet again I’m moving house. The living room in the new house can’t accommodate on-wall speakers where I’d want them, so, with a heavy heart, I’m having to part with my M&K Sound on-wall system.

All the speakers are white and unmarked. They're still in situ, as you can see in the pics.

    Prices as follows:

    3 x MP950 - £450 each

    2 x S150T - £700 (now sold)

    2 x MP7 - £500

I’m happy to split but only when all are sold.

I’ve owned M&K S150 mk2s and XTZ M6s and can state with confidence that the MP950s are at least equal to those (the S150s went a bit louder, but at sane volume levels sounded identical to the MP950s). Notably, a respected pro installer on these forums runs his cinema with the in-wall 950s using a £12k processor, which says a lot about how good they are. The S150Ts need no introduction: they're among the best surround speakers on the planet.

The system above is the one I’ve been happiest with out of all my previous systems – I’ll be very sorry to part with it!

    Price and currency: Multiple
Delivery: Delivery cost is not included
    Payment method: BACs/cash/PPG
    Location: Bedhampton
    Advertised elsewhere?: Not advertised elsewhere
Prefer goods collected?: I have no preference

Slightly off topic but lovely set up.

I'd love to buy it off you but I'm broke at the moment having invested in my business.

Even my wife likes it and has offered to pay for it herself! Sadly she meant £500!

Are the S150Ts the mk2 variant?

They're the ones with the rounded side grilles, which I think means the mk1, even though they were intended to accompany mk2 LCR (the mk2s are the new ones with large side grilles, right?).

That is a very tastefully done room. I'm just about to change over my Black M&K stuff, so I will keep an eye on your S150T's and see how much interest you get. I need to have a look at my room and see if I can fit them in.

No I think you’re referring to the new MK Sound versions.
I was interested in the age of them to be honest.
I’m just about to pull the trigger on a large extension so will have the space to swap out my M&K columns for a pair S150t’s. Just waiting to confirm details with the builder and architect.

Ah OK. Well in that case they must be mk2. Basically they're the latest model but one. I bought them new from Rich in 2018.

Great. I'll only be up for splitting once everything is accounted for.

Hi, how long have you had the mp7? Any damage to them? Can you take some closer pics of them please? How do they integrate with the rest of the speakers?

Hiya. I've had them just under a year and bought them new, so plenty of warranty left.

No damage - they've been on the wall since day one, so out of the way.

They integrate seamlessly. I've been very pleasantly surprised by their performance actually. If you've seen my posts in the past you'll know I'm very, very fussy - if they didn't sound good I wouldn't have them in my system. There have been moments where a bass heavy sound comes from the rear and you'd swear blind the MP7s were full-range, the sub integration is that good.

I've demoed my system with all my go-to test discs (Edge of Tomorrow; John Wick; Pacific Rim; Overlord; Oblivion; etc.) and have ended up grinning like an idiot every time. There isn't a part of the system I'd change in the room it's in.

To clarify my reason for sale: the house I'm moving to doesn't have a front wall for speakers to mount on where I want them, so I'm having to build a fake wall. Given that I'm building a wall, I may as well go the in-wall route. The sofa will also have its back to the rear wall, so no surround backs, hence the MP7s are going. I may even (shock horror) have to stick with 5.1!

Haha, sounds interesting mate. Your floating wall. I have one too. Took the chimney out and put in a floating. Although at the time it wasn’t geared towards av. I think it looks ok. Ok well I’m filing for interest in the MP7’s. so you have one more to go. The only thing I will say and I don’t want to offend you, these can be had new all over for less than your advertised price so my offer will reflect that. Thanks

    Cool, glad you're interested!

Yea, the wall's going to be a big project ... but tbh I quite like messing about with setting up new cinemas. :)

Not offended at all! Very interested that you can get two MP7s new for less than £500... they're normally £450 each (although you can get at least 10% off through decent dealers) .

LOL, yea - £500 for one would have been steep! £500 for both is a bargain though, and priced for a quick sale!

I should say on reflection, I'm happy to start splitting the sale (aside from the MP950s - I'll only sell those once all are accounted for).

I think @Pravus and @Steve Webb were interested in the S150Ts.

Ok great. Will you be able to post the mp7’s? Or would you prefer a mutual meet up half way? I’m in Ilford.

I'm happy to post, yes, although it'll add to the cost a bit (I'm guessing about £30 with insurance, but I'll check when I get in).

Ok, or we could meet half way? Let me have a think on price too assuming we can negotiate or is the price fixed?

    Possible to meet halfway, yes.

I'd prefer not to move on price as I've priced them very generously - it's a £400 saving from new for less than a year's use!

Thanks DougAP. I am interested, however, I’m still waiting on confirmation regards the extension - I couldn’t accommodate the S150t in my current room.
I’m away on hols from 9th Aug, so hope to have confirmation by then.
    Cheers
    Steve

Would you be happy with £700 including postage?

Looks like delivery to Northamptonshire would be about £30 - I'd be happy to split that. So £715 all in, which is an absolute steal for these.
